On our arrival at the hotel one day later due to our flight being cancelled because of mechanical difficulties (sat on the plane for 4 and a half hours, then sitting in the baggage area for another 3 hours due to lightning), we were finally glad to make it in to the hotel even though it was one day later.Not a great start to our trip. I mentioned this to the young lady as we were checking in, and that it was not quite how we wanted to spend our 31st wedding anniversary- stuck on a plane. Her name was Silke Ruprecht. A few minutes after we entered our room, there was a knock on the door. There was a bottle of wine and a anniversary card signed by the staff. What a wonderful way to make up for our lost time and paying for the night we could not use. Due to the great treatment, my husband and I booked another three nights with Tryp (even though we could have booked with a closer hotel to the train station) at the tail end of our 24 day trip before returning to our home town. Nice to know people care and especially the young lady who listened to us.
